Glasgow

Glasgow is Scotland’s largest city that offers a vibrant mix of culture, history, and modern attractions for tourists. Known for its dynamic arts scene, visitors can explore the renowned Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, and the contemporary Glasgow School of Art.

The city is also home to impressive architecture, including the iconic Glasgow Cathedral and the futuristic Riverside Museum. The bustling Buchanan Street offers excellent shopping, while the nearby Botanic Gardens provide a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle.

Event venues

Glasgow was home to the COP26 Summit in 2021, and the event was held at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC), which has capacity for up to 10,000 delegates with 220,000 sqft of exhibition space and benefitting from no less than 8 on site hotels. Elsewhere in the city,  there are other properties including the spacious Marriott with its exceptional meeting spaces, the Voco Central Station, Indigo, Apex and Kimpton Blythswood.

Travel

Definitely well suited for meetings and conferences, Glasgow also has excellent access by train from throughout the UK, and its own airport which provides an express bus service directly into Buchanan Street.

Edinburgh

Edinburgh, Scotland’s vibrant capital, offers a wealth of both historical and cultural attractions for its visitors who can explore the iconic Edinburgh Castle and stroll along the Royal Mile. The city boasts the magnificent Holyrood Palace and the stunning architecture of the city’s Old and New Towns, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Scotland’s fascinating history can be explored in the Royal Museum of Scotland, while art lovers can enjoy the National Gallery.

Event venues

Blessed with an exceptional choice of events venues, the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) is the largest with capacity for more than 2,000 delegates, plus of course there are hotels with conference facilities including the Sheraton Grand Edinburgh, the Rocco Forte Balmoral, InterContinental Edinburgh The George, Kimpton Charlotte Square plus the Hilton Caledonian amongst the largest.

Dining options

Private dinners can be held in a similarly wide range of venues, that include amazing locations such as the Witchery, Royal Yacht Britannia and The Kitchen, through to larger venues like Hopetoun House, Mansfield Traquair, Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Museum of Scotland.
